Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church (www.sotvsy.org) is a congregation in the Pacific Southwest District (www.psd-lcms.org) of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (www.lcms.org) located in the Santa Ynez Valley in California. We would like to have a logo created that can be used on our website, business cards, newsletters, etc. The only particular direction for the logo is that it will ideally include the entire name of the church in the logo: Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church

The attached image shows the most visible side of our church which faces the highway. However, it's not essential that we capture this in the logo. I would also be interested in logos that capture the "Shepherd" aspect (perhaps with a shepherd's staff or something similar, Jesus as the Good Shepherd) or the fact that we are situated in the Santa Ynez Valley with mountains around us.

Overall, we would like something simple but that is unique to us - so not just a cross or the name of the church. We would prefer to have some sort of graphic (again, mountains, valley, shepherd, cross, etc) and the name of the church. If any abbreviation is to be used it could be SOTV.
