Double clamp disgn
I have made a double clamp concept. double clamp is made not to take into account the dimensions, (only a concept). double clamp consists of 2 parts and can be put together easily without using bolts.

Hi Jilvan, it's a fair first draft. You have thought a lot about fitment but some areas of the design will be weak. This is intended to be a functioning vice in a working environment.

yeah it will be fixed, I just made a rough concept. not too concerned about the strength of the material. is a separate concept like this what you want??

Because it will be 3D printed using plastic, it needs to have strength as a major consideration. I also need to see an STL file so I can test the winning design.

This will also be weak. Rounded corners and a thicker x-section would carry much more weight.

Rather than special fasteners, it's easier to just use a bolt (or 4) and a captured nut on the top vice (blue).

Here is another area which would be weak - I'd suggest splitting the dimensions in this section (share the strength between upper and lower clamp)

This part will be very weak - I'd suggest carrying the entire width to the bottom as well as making the backs of the vice rounded.
