Hi Freelancers! I own Broad Bay Boards: a longboard and skateboard company that makes officially licensed American collegiate boards. I am looking for a logo that can be printed on t-shirts, fliers, tags, and the website. We have no color schemes so far, so it is up to you to choose a scheme that will adhere to teenagers and young adults. Very soon, we are expanding our business to encompass longboard and skateboard wheels, so it is important that we start marketing the company as a brand.

IMPORTANT: I'm looking for a logo only. Please do not include the name "Broad Bay Boards" in the logo. I simply want a design. Check out the skate companies Bones, Landyacthz, and Sector 9 for inspiration.

Here are some guidelines to follow:

•You must have the logo in a vector format so it does not lose resolution when scaled really large.
•The logo cannot have any colleges in it.
•The logo must be 100% legal to use in the United States.
•Target Audience: Teenagers and college students. However, most of our customers are actually parents buying for their kids, so keep this in mind. The logo must somewhat appeal to the parents too.
•The logo should be simple, but NOT LOOK TECHY OR MODERN. It must have a SKATE feel to it.
•The company name is "Broad Bay Boards."
•If you ask for feedback, I'll try to respond as quickly as possible! I want the best logo, and the best logo wins the money, so it's in both of our best interests to communicate through this task.
•The logo should not have a grungy, evil, or scary look to it. The logo really should appeal to a wide variety of people and look good on a tshirt.

  We can go back and forth all day but, bottom line is we all have portfolio work and outside clients. I just do not think people should be taken lightly about money. Money isn't everything, you think maybe some clients have a tighter budget than others? Does not make them unworthy of anyone's work.

are you affiliated with broad bay cotton? If so, would their logo be something to include in the design?

  We are! That would be neat to see some variations of that logo. You should not include that exact logo in your design though, but perhaps do some variations of it! Feel free to submit multiple entries and I will try to help guide you in the right direction.

  But look at it this way: if you spend 15 minutes designing a logo and win, you worked for 15 minutes and gained $24. That's equal to a rate of $96 per hour. I would love to see your design, but if you feel that it isn't worth it, you're certainly not obligated to submit your logo.

  #2 looks like a surfboard. I would prefer that skateboards and surfboards not be used in the logo. I recommend you try searching "longboard company logos" on google images to get a feel for what I want.
