Firstly, a little background about myself: I am a PhD in English literature and currently a doctoral candidate of psychology via an interdisciplinary doctoral program (IIP) at a rather well known university in California; that is enough about me personally. Getting down to business, my research partner and myself are seeking professionals, including academic professors, with skills in logic and cognitive reasoning concerning English word usage to solve for perfect solutions to the problems presented in the attachment. The instructions are quite simple really. However, it is in fact surprisingly difficult...
Now for the instructions: Fill in the missing letters to make the words that you think best fit the clues. To do this, read each clue carefully for you must think each one out and give every word its true meaning; this cannot be stressed enough. The correct answers (and some incorrect ones, too) are included in the Word List. Please solve all three (3) problems. We will include four (4) problems with the corresponding solution keys as an example or guide, if you will, to the kind of logic or reasoning that was used to create the problems you will be tasked with solving; this is the logic to be learned and used in future weeks. In this quest, my research partner and I are looking to work extensively with one or two freelancers in the future who can hopefully clearly solve for all solutions consistently.
A bit of technical information for potential participants: we realize we are offering to solve “puzzles” (and this is the only time we will refer to these problems as such as this terminology does not exactly conform to the pursuits of academe research). Henceforth, they will be referred to as either “problems” or “challenges,” with a preference on the latter. Logically, too, there is also a preference for individuals possessing the highest qualifications of academia, particularly in regards to logic dealing with the English language and with familiarity of syllogism (inference, deduction). In previous studies, linguistics and semantics specialists were surprisingly not very effective in trials, but nonetheless, those possessing these competencies are more than welcome to attempt. Mensa members are also welcome.
You may submit up to six (6) attempts at once for each challenge with the goal of a 100% correct solution for each of the three (3) challenges. Please submit no more than eighteen (18) entries [six (6) for each challenge]. As this is an independent study that is being conducted, your submissions will be used as part of professional research. It is strongly encouraged that you list your particular reasoning or rationalizations for the answers you give – in a similarly brief fashion to the logic answer keys attached and mentioned above – in this initial test phase only; this will not necessarily be required later on. However, all entries will be accepted and any willing participant is welcome to attempt any of our logic challenges. All comers may take part. Can you learn another logic than your own? Is it possible?? Try to learn our logic. To reiterate, we will be sifting through initial entries to eventually engage one to two subjects – or more depending on the talent of this particular brain pool – for prolonged employment.
