We need a VECTOR illustration of a WWII tank and "Bomber Betty" sitting on it. Attached is a sample I quickly 'shopped into something along the lines of what we would like.
You must supply a vector Adobe Illustrator file as this will be printed approximately 8 feet tall. There appears to be no way to add this to the "accepted file formats".
The tank and Betty must be separate objects so each can be used separately, repositioned, and/or flipped independently of each other.
VERY IMPORTANT: The tank and the girl need to look cohesive; like they were drawn by the same person. Several have entries that are obviously clipart purchased and slapped both together. The fact that clipart is being submitted instead of original drawings doesn't bother me so much as the tank and the girl are so completely different. The tank looks like a cartoon while the girl is a more realistic drawing; or the tank looks like a photo and the girl looks like a cartoon character.
There doesn't need to be as much detail and shading as in the tank or Bomber Betty. Could be simplified more like the Betty Boop image.
Tank should be at an angle close to the sample
She should be wearing a red white and blue bikini.
She should be blonde.
I like the girl's position in the white sailor hat but she should be saluting similar to the saluting pinup.
I think the girl's hair in the bikini bomber shot is good but hair isn't critical.
MORE INFO BASED ON ENTRIES SO FAR:
#1 READ THE DESCRIPTION of what I want! The first three artists didn't even read the title!
#2 I DO NOT want a Betty Boop character! I included a Clipart of her so you could see that it didn't need to be photo realistic caricature like the lady I Photoshopped on the tank.
#3 The Bomber Betty should be original artwork. Not a piece of Clipart unless you have heavily modified it.
#4 I wouldn't expect too many people to be able to draw a tank with very much detail so a stock Clipart tank is perfectly acceptable provided it doesn't look exactly like the stock version. In my example tank if you were to remove all the extra, light green shading and contours it would drastically change the Clipart. For that matter, if you were to illustrate a great Bomber Betty I could buy the tank Clipart myself and edit the two together how I need them.
I hope this helps clarify...
