Do you want to help some talented kids whose families can't afford to get them music lessons?? All proceeds for this event go to The Children's Foundation Of Guelph & Wellington

[General Idea: We need a very cool poster for a live music event that will go up August 16th and 17th on street lights in back alleys and cafes, and then in the middle of the night two days before the show, on the front doors of all the high schools in the area.]

[WE WANT YOUR ORIGINAL ART TO BE WHAT DRAWS PEOPLE'S ATTENTION TO THE POSTER. (Sorry, I don't mean to shout - I only use all caps to make this idea stand out.) This poster should make people want to rip it off the wall it's hanging on, and take it home to hang it on their bedroom wall forever. :) It should have some intelligence. And for our cool teen audience, it could definitely have some irony too, or maybe even some human warmth. Nothing cloyingly sentimental will win this contest.]

[Sorry we can only offer a $90 prize. The venue only takes 190 people, we have to pay for sound equipment and tech, pay a little to each band, and Give some money to charity, too! We believe in paying artists (including the bands). You'll make 2X more than any of the bands - but we believe they really *need* you to help them get their audience to come out!]

On the plus side: I just found out that the sound man is local (metal) rock star with a following of 26,000 fans. He offered to do sound because he likes our cause. How cool is that!

The poster should be 11 inches wide and 17 inches high. You can also propose unique dimensions that are *smaller than that*: we can crop the poster prints to your proposed dimensions. Paper will likely be 80lb(104 g/m) - matte or glossy depending on the design. Did I miss anything else? Thanks @descorusads, for asking for that clarification.
