Contest Brief
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai announces an international competition for the refresh of its logo design. Please refer to attached contest rules in PDF.
The logo should…
… either be an update or a redesign of the current logo
… correspond to the mission statement of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. CanCham Shanghai bridges the gap between the Canadian and Chinese business communities and facilitates partnerships. CanCham Shanghai is an anchor to the Canadian community in East China.
… have a distinct Canadian element (ex: maple leaf)
… have a distinct Chinese element (ex: calligraphy stroke)
… have two versions: the first in English and Chinese, and the second in French and Chinese. The first version should include the text “The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai”, “上海加拿大商会” and “CanCham Shanghai”. The second version should include the text: “La Chambre de commerce canadienne à Shanghai”, “上海加拿大商会” and “CanCham Shanghai”
… work both in colour and black and white, be adoptable to different scales and different uses (webpages, projected image, backdrops, print material…)

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (CanCham Shanghai) is the leading independent non-profit business organization supporting Canadian business and community interests in Eastern China. It was founded in 1996 by a group of locally-based Canadian companies and entrepreneurs with the support of the Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai, and was officially inaugurated in name in June 2008.
