Contest Brief

Hello together,

This is a simple logo design project, but needs some creative ideas to realize it:
The author of a historical novel is "Sophie Morrison". So a part of the logo should be the two characters "SM" from the authors name.

In addition the author is working with the holy thistle flower (check google image search for images), so please try to integrate it full or partially into the logo.
The logo itself should be in a style like the attached two logo drafts to give an example of an 'historical idea'.
