Hi

I am looking for a unique logo for my site with is about NEWS, REVIEWS and INFOS about books, ebooks, audio books, movies and comics of the genres to fantasy, science fiction and mystery.
We also post interviews with authors or entries about fantasy conventions and so on.

So you see this is a very specialized site. Every fan of fantasy, science fiction and mystery will find his info on our site so please remember this.
I look for a unique logo and nothing that looks like a logo from a newspaper like New York Times or The Sun.

You can include elements of fantasy (maybe no fairies) or science fiction or mystery or all of them together but it is not necessary.
In the end the logo has to be unique, recognition value and if you look at it you should know what's the site is about.

It is important to me that the logo can be used as site header logo and also for social channels like Facebook Avatar, Twitter Avatar or as Icon for an app (later).
You can show me (if you wish) the same logo in different platform styles e.g. how would it look like as a app icon, as a twitter banner and so on, but it is not necessary (the logo has just to fit in all sizes).

Please do not show me the logo on a visit card, on a plane or other weird stuff. I do not own a plane and I don't wanna make visit cards. The logo will be used for the website, social channels and later maybe an app, so show me the logo e.g. on a smartphone if you wish.

The name of the site is:

Fantastik Journal

(this is German for phantastik journal).

I'd like to have the name into the logo when I used it on top of my website so please get sure that the logo and name match (make it part of the logo or make the name the logo...)
As an app or Facebook Avatar the name is not necessary if you have a strong logo/icon.

If you have any question please ask.

What I don't like are shiny logos or glitter or similar stuff so please remember this when you design it. I like flat designs like this examples:

But it's not a requirement just an input. In the end i choose the logo I like the most maybe you can surprise me.

Just imagine the spirit of the site. I want that adventure, explorer feeling when I see the logo because most of science fiction and fantasy stories are about that. The site is made by fans for fans and nothing commercial it's a project of people who really like doing this.

contest holder beware that entry #39 is a bought vector. Make sure you get the receipt of payment and that it is free license to use and amend any way you wish. Otherwise you'll infringe copyright. Sorry designer...but we have to be fair to our clients

  Sorry. Last project I did with guaranty was crap. In the end there was no entry I liked and I had to choose a winner anyway.
