Contest Brief

NOTE: I've received a lot of design choices and I will be choosing one by Tuesday. Thank you all

Design:

I would like to create a design for my startup company (citation.io).

citation.io is an online website used by university researchers, students and professors to enhance their reading and writing experience of research papers.
Citation is about visualizing connectivity in research. Please provide ideas that express this.

Please see attached document for requirement details and suggested ideas

Deliverables:
Provide 1 design sample. I want to be able to do 3 iterations over the chosen design until I reach the final version.
Upon completion of the project, the designer should provide the original design file (adobe illustrator file).

    Dear designers,

    This was my first posting on Freelancer for a logo design contest. I had a limited time to produce a design because I want to pitch my prototype in the next few weeks.
    I was overwhelmed with the beautiful designs you have provided. I did not expect to receive this amount of beautiful well executed ideas. It was hard for me to provide feedback for the effort you have given to this contest. I might have rejected designs without providing feedback due to lack of time. But trust me, many of those rejected were great designs.
    Mamunfaruk provided an elegant, safe, up-to-date, professional design that you cannot go wrong with it. But finally, I chose the design of webull (rubiks cube) after asking my friends for vote on a poll. It is simple, catchy, ready to be used and something I need at this stage of my startup.
    I would like to thank also GoldSuchi, usman313, tasneem56, aryatgirl and sagorak47 who provided really beautiful designs in addition to many others.

      Thank you tasneem56. Your designs really showed uniqueness and talent. However, I had to go with something that explains better my idea and safer.

    Hi MIL80FX, Your designs abide with the instructions, but frankly, they are not visually appealing. When it comes about design, it is really about personal taste. But I really appreciate the effort.

    You are right in one regard, is that my initial design requirement stresses on the use of quotation ", but I am welcoming and encouraging new ideas.
