Contest Brief

We are in need of a company logo! that is minimal, sleek, and professional. A logo that will last for centuries.

Company Name: Colors and Tones ( can be spelled "Colors and Tones" or "Colors & Tones")
The company is a multimedia company that is based on a simple and sleek yet sophisticated style. We want to portray professionalism through creativity and cleverness.

Multimedia: photography, film, design, animation, music, painting/drawing etc

Vector design: needs to be original, incorporates acronym C T, C & T, and/or an abstract design that subtly, creatively, and cleverly expresses multimedia.
Typography: Font type and placing is everything. The company name is somewhat long so be creative and make it attractive and minimal.

Some Ideas we want to see in our future logo: eye catching, memorable, thought inducing, cleverness, professionalism. LESS IS MORE.
No slogan yet. If you have a cool slogan idea and would like to add it to the logo, go for it!



UPDATE #1: I am looking for a custom made vectored logo and typography for the name. Vectored logo should be able to stand alone and still portray creativity and cleverness while holding the viewer's attention. Or it has to be really clever and needs the company name to express the meaning of the vector design. Let your mind be free and create!

UPDATE #2: After reviewing all entries, I want to give some input for current and future entries. "colors and tones" is a bunch of words and letters. Be creative with typography and make it so that it looks simple yet sophisticated. Go with the idea of less is more! Secondly, the vector logo needs to portray the idea, and meaning of the company. I need this logo to be original and memorable. Please no cliche vectors. Please do not submit vectors you've used for past clients. This is a professional company so if it looks anywhere childish and amateur, I will give it a 1 star without any feedback. I spend a good amount of time replying and giving constructive feedback. I am at times harsh but please don't take it personally since both our goals are to reach a final product that we both can be exceptionally proud of.

**Please keep in mind that this company's name can be easily mistaken for an ink and printing company, which is not the goal.
**All vectors must be your own design. They cannot be purchased off of other sites.
**Final product will need to be in PSD and AI files.

UPDATE #3: attached a few of the ones I like. I will be commenting on the things I like about each image starting from the top.

Image 1: very simple and clean typography. love the vector design. it subtly incorporates color and tone. The font type needs to be a bit more lively. Would love to see a more definite C & T in the vector design.

Image 2: Only thing I like about this is the simple subtle incorporation of C T in the vector design.

Image 3: Things I like are the subtle tones of RGB colors thats not obnoxious. Vector design needs to have some company initials infused in it.

Image 4: I love the typography here. Clean, simple, sleek, professional font type and doesn't look bulky. Vector could be improved to better show the T, not J.

Image 5: Only thing I like here is the subtly of the C and T in the vector design. I do not like the obvious different colors inside the design which reminds me of a printing company.

Image 6: Only thing I like is the font type thats used for the slogan. Slogan itself, not so much.

Image 7: Really cool play on the idea of multimedia for the vector design. I see photography, film, animation, design, and "colors" in the vector logo. Its not 100% there yet though. Can't fully pin point it.

Image 8: cool incorporation of T inside the C. nothing else.

Image 9: font type and placement and everything for the company name and slogan works for me here.
