Contest Brief
We need a logo for a Co-Working Space that we are setting up called Flexidesk.
Flexidesk is a company being created where we will offer desk space for people who do not need or are unable to afford a full office. Target customers are startup businesses, freelancers and small businesses who might otherwise work from home but do not want to.
The theme of the business is "Freedom for Ideas". To follow this theme, our idea for the logo is for an Australian Wedge Tailed Eagle positioned so as to be about to take off carrying a glowing lightbulb. We would like the logo to be set against a medium dark wood grain (similar to example1 attached) using orange for the name and lightbulb with the eagle being black. There could also be a hint of bright green somewhere in the logo to contrast the orange (perhaps an rough underline or something). We have attached 2 examples of color and texture as a guide. NOTE: It is important to be able to see the eagle's wedge shape tail as this is what makes it an Australian bird. Good luck and thank you for your participation.

@shayne10, When a design is submitted, every contestant digitally signs an agreement with Freelancer.com which states that, "This entry is entirely my own original work and I agree to the Freelancer.com Terms and Conditions". Contestants submitting logo presentation templates, logo mockup templates, 3D templates or licensed and free artwork are breaking the contest rules.

KINDLY SIR, READ THIS , I have more entries but i did not have time to post in the contest because it ended .. little changes from the ones i posted in the contest..and placed on wooden wall.. the designs have an escaping eagle from the X letter beside the word freedom.. so it is expressing the concept of your slogan .... and the eagle on the right is holding a light bulb for expressing catching ideas, and the whole compilation has a surrounding border but this border is broken from the escaping eagle side to express freedom also. in conclusion, this design is literally well crafted ,unique, memorable and expressing your slogan message to far extent.CHECK MY PORTFOLIO IN THE ALBUM NAMED "FLEXIDESK" .. PLEASE LEVE ME FEEDBACK FOR MY ENTRIES. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.. regards ,HOSAM >>> MY ENTRIES POSTED IN THE CONTEST ARE #177 #180 #181 #183 #184

@shayne10, Some contestants here are using what are called logo mockups or logo presentation templates to enhance their designs. These mockups are sophisticated Photoshop files loaded with image effects. One just pays the licensing fee, downloads the file, opens it and inserts a logo image and Voila!, here come the high ratings. Contestants using templates gain an unfair advantage by using artwork they did not create and are not capable of creating. If you search Google Images for logo mockups and logo presentations you will see a myriad of examples.

Thank you for the clarification LucianCreative. Since there is no hard evidence to base the previous claim on, I certainly believe you and would like you to know that you are still very much in the contest! Regards Shayne

@LucianCreative thanks for admitting that you are using a mockup file. Is the eagle licensed as well? Please let Shayne know where you found this mockup.
