Síntese do concurso

I need someone to design a logo for my (under construction) company. It is working in field of "Electrical Engineering, Research & Development". The proposed name is ELERD but I'm open to other suggestions. It must satisfy the following;
1. My preference theme color is marble blue. But, again, I'm open to suggestions.
2. The logo should not partially or totally be taken from another published photo or design that it should not violate the copyrights laws.
3. The logo must be descriptive to the nature of company's work.
4. The winner agrees to sign a copyright statement that he is the developer of this logo and that he did not develop his design based on any existing designs or publications in a away that violates the copyright laws and that he will not be proposing or using this design for any other purposes.
5. The design needs to be delivered in native format and in web/printed picture format with transparent background.

The winner will have the chance to be awarded more work for Company's procures and web site design which are still in the planning stages.

Although we have decided for a contest winner, I would like to thank all the participant for their work and the talents you showed in creating your artistic designs. Hope that our career paths will cross in future projects and we will get the chance to do more work together.

We are thinking about changing the name to MERD "Mechatronics Engineering, Research and Development". I'm also thinking about ideas using Mechatronics overlapping circles symbol.
