Contest Brief

New School Kitchen is a small restaurant in the Sawtelle neighborhood of Los Angeles which will act like a test kitchen for future concepts, but this is the first location founded in 2014.

I need a logo icon and logotype and I want to be able to use both the logo icon and logotype together or each individually.

I'd like the logo icon to be 1 color and in a circular shape with the words "NEW SCHOOL KITCHEN" prominently displayed. I will be using this to create a stamp and apply to takeout bags and boxes. I like the style of a university seal (pictures attached) because it is a circle but I am open to a more modern approach.

For the logotype, you can just use the same typeface as you use in the seal but arranged horizontally so I can use it as a sign in front of the restaurant.

If you are going to add Latin words, please use "AUDACIA NAVITAS VICTUS" which means daring enthusiasm for food in English, but Latin words are not required if your design is more simple.

I like the imagery of an eagle or torch.

Warning: NO more roses or hearts, NO chef hats, NO cooking utensils (forks, spoons, knives, whisks, etc)
