Design a Logo for our restaurant " Jonkanoo - a Caribbean Joint "
- Status: Closed

Contest Brief
Our Bar/Restaurant is called " Jonkanoo - a Caribbean Joint " with " Jonkanoo " being the main name with " a Caribbean Joint " being a subheading.
Obviously the theme is Caribbean however I am open to any imaginative and stylish designs.
Based on what has been posted so far I like the "hot brand" as in two dimensional branding with frame style like the attached examples from other companies.....
Black on white like the uploaded images or just a single primary colour is preferable.
By the way Jonkanoo means street carnival in the caribbean.

Basically we're looking for a hot branding effect like a hot brand on a rum barrel or cow, with a little extra detail possibly filigree, and some distressing to make it look old and worn out.

Hi Robert, thanks for your entries. We're looking for either a branding look - a hot brand on a rum barrel or cow kind of idea or something carnivalesque - as Jonkanoo is the name for the street carnival in several of the Caribbean islands.Cheers, Patrick

By detail I mean wearing of the background a little, or small amount of filigree, or wood grain, or holes from nails or whatever?

31 is getting close too, leave out the palm tree and martini glass, then finish off the frame a little more. Thanks again.

Hi Karimjaved,
I've uploaded some examples of what I'm looking for in the brief.
Having twin coconut trees and sunsets can look very much like the logo for Malibu.
I'd really like something two dimensional and preferably black on white so that I can put it on any background.
Thanks again and good luck.- 12 years ago

Hi Fabrirebo,
I like the festive nature of number 18 as "Jonkanoo" means street party or parade or carnival in the Caribbean.
I have uploaded some examples of what I'm looking for in the brief now.
I'd like something two dimensional, black on white ( so it can go on any background, business card, menu etc ) and framed like a brand ( hot iron brand that is ).
Thanks again and good liuck.- 12 years ago
