Paragade is a clothing company (and more) that I am starting with two partners. What we are going to create with the brand is more than just a clothing company focused on motivational, inspirational messages in a powerful minimalistic design, but an online community where entrepreneurs, aspiring athletes, musicians, artists, or anybody who is chasing a dream can go to find support, advice, ideas and community with others of a like mindset. The brand is targeted at these kinds of people.
The idea behind the name is that it combines the words "Paragon" (a model of excellence, or peerless example) and "Renegade" (one who rejects society's norms and makes their own way), to create a word that can describe a mix of the two, essentially a person of pure virtue who will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals.
The design we are looking for is a simple one, while being bold and powerful. Not childish, not goofy or fun. We want it to combine symbolism for a renegade and a paragon. We want it to be easy to remember, but unique enough that it stands out, similar to the "Volcom" clothing brand logo (Not similar in style or specific design, but similar in the fact that it is unique and easily recognizable). We don't need text to go with the logo design, but if you feel that it adds to your design then by all means include it. We would like a design that is easily readable in all white colour. Ideas we've been bouncing around are possibly a unique star (maybe inside a circle or something) to symbolize paragon, mixed with something bold, powerful, and uncompromising to symbolize the renegade aspect of the design (perhaps a graphic that looks similar to wings on either side of the paragon aspect of the design, but it could be anything that feels powerful and symbolizes determination).
