Contest Brief

Objectives
We require a completely new logo for an event whose aims are to:
• Thank research participants and donors.
• Provide an opportunity for research volunteers, their friends and family to connect and develop a network with other like-minded people.
• Raise awareness of the need for brain and mental health research.
• Share in the knowledge and fresh insights gained from recent research activities.
The event will be run by 2 different research institutes – Schizophrenia Research Institute/Bank, and Using Our Brains – see logos attached.

Target Audience
People who have participated in previous mental health research, their family and friends –all of whom will be invited to the Fun Day.

Scope of the Project
A single logo that can be used from year-to-year, or each time the event is held.

Overall Style/Look
The logo needs to be simple and not too text heavy as it will mostly appear on letterheads and promotional materials. It should bring together the concept of brain/mental health research and a fun day of community building where researchers get to say thank you.

Definite “Do Nots”
Nothing that implies crazy or any negative connotations to do with mental health.
