Hi,
I am looking for a logo designer that can help me design a logo for a company I want to form.
The name of the start-up is called Yuanvest, and I wish one day that it becomes a movement.
Yuan (緣) in Chinese means karma or fate between people, and vest sounds like invest.

While I still working on a vision statement, the very high level of what Yuanvest is about is (and its brand essence is)
- Community/collaboration
- Knowledge (and knowledge sharing)
- Investments (in sustainable knowledge, and making the right investments in life)

Initially it will be focused on investments (financial investments).
There will be bloggers that share their experience on investments and teach new people how to invest sustainably. It is NOT a financial advisory company, or a financial institution. It is founded by the people for the people and will stay independent as possible.

Longer term I see this being a market place where like minded people can connect, businesses, individuals etc no matter what your goals are (and ultimately trade ideas and analysis, where money will change hands in some cases).
It may expand past financial investments into health investments (health living), or any domains where there needs to be a need for a trusted place for collaboration. Hence any images of dollars must be avoided as it may not remain in the finance investment space.

The brand elements that needs to be incorporated are:
- Must having feeling of Karma
- Evoke the three vision words discussed (community, knowledge, investment).. though avoid investment from a money perspective.. its investment in knowledge and the people around you, and giving back with your knowledge
- Brand colour should be green and white primarily. Green is very important as the chinese word for green is very similar to Yuan, while white is pure, is aligned to the brand of the movement and its founder.
- If possible, the logo should have a feeling of sincerity and authenticity, as that is also what Yuanvest is about.

My previous ideas is to have a logo that looks like a bonsai tree, but I rather get an expert designer to think this through for me.

While the organisation is currently low budget, I would love to form a working relationship with the winner for future icon designs and Webpage layout design (using wordpress). Grow together.

Hopefully Yuanvest will become a movement to really help me grow, and fundamentally change how knowledge can be shared.

I like to make the decision about the logo early July.

#111 :) i got a good idea but not enough time to realise it. I divide yuanvest to yuan and vest. I make the Yuan part green and standin for growing, calmness, stability. It should represent the bottom part of flower, the base level, the startup. The other part (Vest) is black and in the symbol its represented as the top part of the flower with a money symbol (dollar in this case) inside of it. It stands for money, stability, protection (of the money), and investment. The moneys are the heart of this flower. And we cannot rip em off from the chest of the flower and took em. 1/2

  2/2 Money can come out only with a good investment, strong root, stable base, solid protection and continuous growing. I tryed to represent that in the logo, but didnt have enough time. I upload it anyway, no matter that it looks very unproffesional edgy. I got skillz to make it better just need more time. If you are not sure about me but u like my idea, send me a msg and dont choose a winner yet, i will fix the logo and upload it somewhere else and then if u like it u can choose me as a winner here. :) 2/2

Bonsai tree idea is definitely a no go, as some of the designs here are far more superior. Remember simplicity is very important, and the ability to replicate. Plus flat designs are also back in from a design trend perspective.

Hi all. Just a design consideration, the winning logo will require a flat design. If it is too 3D it may be too hard for me to replicate.
