Rules:

- Sealed submission are disqualified.
- If someone comes up with many original ideas and others improve on those I will be sure to award the person that came up with the originals at the end of the contest as a Runner-Up or award them in a separate project depending on how many original ideas they contributed.

Specs:

- Design will be white lettering on a black background.

- Make the font feminine that women would want to wear.

- The red panda should not be too well-detailed. Just detailed enough from a distance that you could make out the general shape to match the picture provided.

- The design is supposed to make you look twice when up closer to see what the animal is spelled out of as an interesting hook.

- That said, the words RED PANDA must be readable from a small distance on someone's shirt, so stand 15 feet back from your monitor and see if you can read the letters easily in your work as a test.

Option 1:

- Use the letters in RED PANDA, with the R always being in reverse/backwards (can be all uppercase, all lower case, or a mix) to build the shape of the provided link below of the red panda animal. Try to design so that the letters try to flow in order of the spelling of RED PANDA as they repeat across to make up the animal. The letters must be big enough to easily read that RED PANDA is spelled out over and over.

- Make sure there are separation in the letters, you should not be using just RED PANDA completely spelled out over and over. It should look more like a cross between alphabet soup and a crossword puzzle of independent floating letters that make up the shape and body of the red panda picture provided.

Option 2:

- Only spell out the animal using block letters that spell the animal shape out by using RED PANDA (backward R) once as referenced in the Crocodile example below. I believe it will be tougher to make this version look cool and feminine/artsy, that said - give a shot if you think you can make it cooler than the other version.

Examples To Follow:

1) The red panda animal shape you should be copying when making it completely out of the backwards R, E, D, P, A, N, D, A letters:

2) Example of an animal spelled out of letters (not a great example as it is not nearly feminine enough, but best I could find) :

3) Example of how to maybe add some artistic flair around the letters etc... look and the C in Chateau and M in Marquis provided (ignore the font itself only look at the vines and flowery font decoration around the C and M:

Thanks everyone! #21 won the contest with the best animal shape art with it being readable and adding the nice touch the red panda reaching to the butterfly.

#21t takes the lead. The letters are readable, there is art that forms the shadow of a red panda, and I like the cute touch of the butterfly / fairy it is interacting with. Very solid. This is the one to beat.

#14, #15, #16 I like the shape of the animal, flower in mouth and design. It is just not readable. A good test for all of you is to stand back 15 feet (4 meters) from your monitor and see if you can read the words. It has to be read while someone is wearing it from a distance.

@medokhaled can you keep the belly and back feet of #1, and keep the kind of way you made the head in #4 (best way to clearly show a readable D in my opinion), and combine with a more readable font of #3 with less art on the inside of the letters and more to form a solid outline.

#3 has it closer to the right idea. #1 is great in that it keep the shape of the red panda so well. #3 has the more feminine font and design, but loses the shape of the red panda animal and I think it is still too hard to read. Maybe remove the art design patterns from the inside of the letters to make them clearer and just keep it on the outside to help form the outline of the red panda in a clearer fashion.

I think the D for the head is genius and the A for the legs etc... just making all the letters a bit cleaner, feminine, and readable and less 1970's psychedelic looking.

Also making it more readable is something that is needed. That is why I think Option 2 is tough to make both feminine and readable whereas with Option 1 you have a lot more room to experiment. If you can make it more legible and feminine I will bump to 5 stars.

#1, very cool and unexpected - I really thought it would be tough to make the red panda look cool out of these blimpy letters but he pulled it off. My only critique is that this is a women's geared shirt and this seems like a more unisex design. Making the letters more feminine or having some border design as I mentioned in the brief (vines, little flowers, ivy, whatever....) to make it a girl design.
