Contest Brief

I am looking for a redesign of the home screen of my Android application "Live Music Streamer". See first few screenshots here:

This is essentially a website design, since the home screen of the app is based on a WebView.

Important: The design must be suitable for for both phone and tablet screens.
It must therefore be a responsive or adaptive design, meaning that it will look slightly different, more adjusted, on both phone and tablet screens.

The screen has 4 main buttons (or links):
- Browse artists
- Search (with sub headline: artist, venue, date & taper)
- Favorite artists
- Favorite shows

(in that order please)

I want a clean, simple design, as is the trend with app designs nowadays. A bit like iOS 7/8 & Android KitKat you could maybe say.
- Background should be 1 color (plain colored, monocrome)
- Fonts used must be free to use (perhaps a Google font)

You are welcome to implement icons, but it is not a must and you are welcome to give this your own spin... feel free to get creative :-)

Important: In addition, I will want to know what colors/fonts etc are used and I expect a few tips/suggestions for me to make other screens of the app look similar to the home screen (your design). Those screens however are much more basic so I am NOT asking you to design them.
