We are in the process of purchasing our first new trucks for our family business and the design/colour scheme of these trucks will be the basis for all our new trucks in the future and therefore we want to make sure we get the design perfect to begin with!

As basic background on our company we are a small scrap metal recycling company operating on the east coast of Australia

Each entry will need to consider/meet the following:
- Our current brand, logo and colour scheme (being Recycal Green, Black and White - shades of grey can be used also)
- Design must stand out and 'WOW' people when driving down the road but still maintain a professional image - we want people see our trucks as this is advertising for our company
- 2 angles for each truck (there are 2 truck types) must be provided per the photos attached

Information to help designers:
- photos of the 2 truck types will be attached - these are basic photos from the manufacturer which the designer can use to develop their design
- Photos Hook 1 & 2 are trucks that carry bins like you see in the 'hook' photo
- Photos Tray 1 & 2 are trucks that carry bins like you see in 'Tray Bins' photo (note our gates are not to be yellow like in the photo)
- photos of the different bins that go on each truck - you will see the bins are a different green to our logo and are very very bright as we like them to stand out
- our official logo/brand

The winner will be selected primarily based on their ability to 'WOW' us whilst considering factors such as professionalism, practicality of applying the design in real life and the execution in quality of the files produced.

PLEASE NOTE: the design of our bins is not a part of this, I have including a photo of how our bins look so this can be considered when doing designs for the trucks - we are only asking for designers to come up with a design for the trucks (specifically/most importantly the cab of the truck)

The tray design of entry no. 188 is also same as the tray of entry no. 187. Therefore, only body design was attached for entry 188.

I'm very interested in coming up with a winning solution for your company, One of my most recent clients is in the very same business that I designed a logo for.

What I would like is a little bit of clarity on what your organization is looking for in these designs. Are you looking for a new logo and logotype for the brand as part of this project? You discuss two vehicle and bins systems, is your company trying to decided which truck/bin system you aim to purchase or are you going to have both types at your disposal, no pun intended?

What type of printing techniques are you implementing for the graphics? For instance, will they be solid vinyl decals that will be stuck to the bins and trucks, or can they have gradients and other graphic treatments because they will be printed then stuck on like promotional vehicle wraps?

  per the brief our logo is set, the colour/design of our bins is set (and I have provided photo of bins) and the only design we require is for the truck itself - please DO NOT redesign the bins as your entries will be rejected without consideration if you do.
  
  we will do a wrap or paint depending on the design... we are open to both but paint would be preferred due to the quality if the finish.

  firstly you redesigned the bins which I stated multiples times not to do - the bins are green and this will never change so you should have simply photoshopped the white bin to be green and then that allows me to see how your design would look with our bins
  
  secondly after receiving other entries i simply preferred these over your entries as they better captured our brand but still provided that wow factor... I think your designs captured our brand fairly well but did not give that 'wow factor'

Can people please stop redesigning the bins... they are bright green, this will not change and I have stated that in the brief so please when you submit you designs they must consider the fact the bins are bright green and how that will fit in terms of the design of the cab!

PLEASE NOTE:

I think a number of entries have missed the brief... the primary thing we are looking for is the ability to 'WOW' people. If you were driving down the road would a simple white or green truck with a company logo on it make you turn your head? That is not design but rather simply putting a single colour and then the logo... I can do that on photoshop myself.

What we are looking for is design, clever ways that people are able to integrate all or parts of our logo on/around the cab along with our corporate colours that makes people say WOW that is clever and it look amazing... a single colour with our basic logo will never do that...
