Contest Brief

I need a logo for my foundation. We are a non-profit dog rescue and adoptions group, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. These are the attributes/criteria for the ideal logo:
* it's positive; it's a "feel good" design (*);
* it's a cool, simple, iconic design;
* it "talks" about the connection/bond between dogs and people;
* it's balanced, symmetrical in its "visual weight";
* it needs to work well when used inside a "box" or "tile" (like the tiles in the Apple App Store, for example);
* it works well when used in B&W;
* It's easily recognizable, even if when it's used in a small size.

Please, avoid the obvious: heart+paw-print

Please, use the same green and magenta colors that we have in our current logo (no specific requests for the background color; also, another color can be added, if justifiable).

(*) Our work is based on showing people how much better their own life can be when they adopt a dog, rather than showing them sad dogs waiting for them to adopt them. When we ask for help, we want people to feel that a little help can go a long way, rather than making poeple feel they have to help bigtime or not help at all.

We're attaching our current logo, and also some reference images of logos we've seen that are in line with what we want.

Sorry that we don't have a larger budget for this (we actually have NO budget, but we've decided to allocate a portion of our very lean donations to this).

However, when it comes to creative work, we don’t feel comfortable accepting the donation of an artist’s time and creativity because, if the end result wasn't what we were looking for, we might not use it, and we really don’t want to make our of our supporters feel we’ve disrespected him/her in any way by not using what he/she has given us.   Amigos, les agradezco muchísimo el gesto. La cosa es que en cuestiones creativas, no nos sentimos cómodos aceptando la donación de un trabajo profesional que luego, si no fuera lo que estamos buscando, podríamos no usar. Quizás, si ustedes quieren participar en el concurso y lo ganan, pueden hacernos una donación equivalente, y sería como haber donado el trabajo, pero no nos condicionaría a ninguno de los dos de antemano, se entiende?
