Tree House originated in Savannah, Georgia and our logo was designed to prevent us from needing permits when we opened the original location. We love our logo a lot, but it is not scalable for our brand because it requires too many colors and too much detail. While we love the logo we have, it violates many of the laws of branding that successful companies do not. There is not iconography that says more with less, like McDonald's "M" or Nike's shwoosh, and Hurley's "H". Please watch this short promo to get a feel for our brand and design elements in Savannah:

We are opening our 2nd Tree House, an entertainment complex soon to be on the busiest street (Duval Street) in Key West, Florida. Key West is a historic town that is the Southernmost Island in the United States and most widely known for our free spirited acceptance of all walks of life. Our city motto is "One Human Family". We need a logo created for our brand that will say who we are (a new entertainment complex and bar that wants to look old/vintage and make everyone feel at home...like it is their home away from home), what we sell (liquor), and insinuate/sub-communicate the fun but hidden meaning of TREE HOUSE (a nostalgic home for any adult looking to have fun like a kid again). We don't want to come out and say it, but our logo should reference through imagery, insinuation and undertone:

--> "We have the best live music."
--> "We are your clubhouse that was made out of up-cycled materials"
--> "We are a sexy woman's favorite place to drink/dance/party."
--> "We are not fancy, judgemental, or posh."
--> "We set the example for sustainable eco-friendly business"
--> "This is the BEST and MOST FUN bar/entertainment venue/club of your recreational life"
--> "Nostalgia and childhood for adults today - yet sexy and NOT posh"
--> Liquid Marijuana is our signature drinks and our staff's shirts say THC (Tree House Crew)...see we made you think we were talking about marijuana with our staff innuendo.

A great example of the business model of what we are marketing our subtle and fun/funny/distasteful undertone of our image after is "Big Johnson". The 1990s t-shirts were a hit because they were distasteful if interpreted correctly, but tasteful enough that the public could still where them every day. Here are a list of elements that we like in our existing logo and plan to use in the design of our 2nd Tree House we are building right now:

- Distressed wood
- Grass and natural vines
- White walled tire swing
- Tree House rope ladder
- Kids Tree House

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Three different items are needed to see the application of the branding.
1. Iconography of our brand that is scalable and says Tree House and what we do/sell/provide in one single color ICON/IMAGE
2. Name/Icon Logo - scalable in 1 color
3. Complimentary logo to the existing 1st floor bar (The Green Room) that Tree House will be built over (Please see newly added logo/icon for The Green Room)

I am looking for something that pays homage to a union patch (https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/91ZnNUR8M9L._SY355_.jpg) (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1005/3106/products/IMG_0995_1024x1024.jpg?v=1479059765). Please put the requested elements that say what we do (Sell Drinks/Party - Cup, Musical Notes) and who we are (Organic Themed Live Entertainment Venue - Guitar neck with frets/head, Tree house elements/imagert of Tree/Branches/House/Window/Rope Ladder/Tire Swing). These are ideas but I believe the scalable brand will be timeless like a classic union patch. Tree House - "CLIMB UP TO GET DOWN!"

I am looking for scalable brand logo in both forms 1. iconography like The Green Man face, an emblem/icon/image that says everything our brand is with elements alone defining so much more than the words/letters that is our company name. 2. I love that The Green Room text logo works as one color and is scaleable alone as our logo if necessary, the font of The Green Room text logo is thick enough to scale down pretty small and still be legible enough to print/embroider. Tree House needs a text logo that is the same style it currently is but it needs typset/font/letters that can be printed single color and then scaled without risk of losing legibility -- which is unlike the wood grained text logo for Tree house we have currently that was hand illustrated on a tablet in many colors with so much detail it could never be vectorized cleanly and never be scaled in the same quality across all mediums of print/embroidery.

I am not usually a huge fan of skinny scripture, if you cannot simplify/create/find a scalable wood plank Tree House font/glyph try using same font as Green Room (FunkyDori Glyph just uploaded for you) or something similar to either of the two. It is important to understand why I am referencing the logo of the sister bar on the 1st floor. Please see my next comment.

Can you make a Union-Patch style (circular or symetrical dimensions) paying homage to drinks, music, eco-friendly and tree house imagery while providing the "clubhouse" feel welcoming everyone and making everyone want to be a part of it. Grass may not work, but branches/top of tree could integrate guitar/frets and have 2+ meanings...bringing elements alive from the application/use of other elements.

HINT: Find a way to use imagery as letters or part of letters in name. A cup w/straw would emphasize a drink, but a shot glass with a roof can also work. For example, the head/neck of a guitar sticking out of a cup in place of a straw. Another example of multiple elemental meaning with one image is using a rope step ladder in place of strings/frets on a guitar neck. Putting notes on lines/musical chart that happens to be step-ladder or a guitar neck. How can this design be more like a tree as part of a drink/guitar in a house? And still have the dimensions for the widest use (symetrical or close to). How do images say we sell drinks with live music? Such as musical notes as ice cubes or musical notes as bubbles.

Please think about making this say who we are and what we do with imagery. A live entertainment venue that sells drinks in a fun-themed & organic atmosphere. Tree Houses are just about always built in a tree, so naturally our business (Tree House) is only opened on 2nd floor properties. Climbing up our stairs is not an option to patronize our business, and climbing a ladder or rope ladder is not usually an option to climb up a nostalgic kids' Tree House. A union style graphic is another way to exemplify these goals, but please don't forget we have been using the original Tree House logo since 2013. Straying too far from our roots/style is going to make this transition tough on sustaining the same atmosphere and business...especially for our regular customers, many of whom have been coming since our 2013 Grand Opening of our 1st location (in Savannah).

Tree House is the 2nd floor and the other bar in our soon to be entertainment complex, built over our 1st Floor and current Key West existing bar, known today as The Green Room - a local hub and eco-pub. It is very important that logo is complimentary to the existing 1st floor bar (The Green Room) that Tree House will be built over (Please see added logo/icon of The Green Room so design/style fits and works together).

The coolest logo I have seen submitted so far takes into account we are NOT a posh bar. I am referring to the drinkware and feel in imagery that I don't want such as martini/wine/glass...in fact everything comes in the same standard shaped recyclable plastic cup no matter what. The best description simplified...we are a volume bar that provides the best live entertainment in an atmosphere organically themed and nostalgic to all ages old enough to drink (21+). Please think about 1. Drinks 2. Live Music 3. Tree House imagery 4. Iconography rules respected by the most successful brands a.k.a. saying more with less... 5. Recyclable/Sustainable Business that gives back to the community and keeps customers coming back too
