Contest Brief

IF YOU NOT READY TO SUBMIT ORIGINAL IDEA. PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER.

I’m refreshing the identity of my landscape-maintenance company and need a logo that feels modern and sleek, yet powerful enough to carry us through the next decade. We service strata complexes and commercial properties, and we’re known for cultivating growth—both in the landscapes we manage and in our own team—so the mark has to convey professionalism, reliability, and forward momentum.

Color palette is set: a strong orange lead, supported by navy blue and a touch of silver. Beyond that, I’m giving you a clean slate. Please avoid the usual leaf, tree, or lawn-mower clichés; I’m open to abstract forms, clever negative space, or an unexpected typographic twist—whatever best captures a progressive landscape brand.

NOTES:
- Insure readability. Name must have clear font and design not effecting it visually
- We are starting to get lots of copycats. Please be original.
- ot looking for abbreviation logo ( aka TL or similar )

I’ll review concepts based on how confidently they:

• Use the specified colours with smart hierarchy and contrast
• Translate across light/dark backgrounds and small/large sizes
• Arrive as fully editable vector files (Adobe Illustrator), with outlined and live-text versions, plus PNG/SVG exports
• Include a concise style sheet: colour codes, fonts, and clear-space rules

Note for future entries : insure readability, people have to be able to read the name clearly so choose fronts and design accordingly

    CH be warned, the vast majority of submissions will be straight-up AI slop, 99% of them. Scammers are cranking out HUNDREDS of AI pictures per participant. Hand-crafted work doesn’t happen that fast, impossible to have several unique entries in a row from one artist. Spot them instantly by searching their name in “Search Entries” to see the rapid-fire spam. ALWAYS SEARCH NAMES. Every entry you even slightly like, SEARCH THAT NAME right away.

    ALSO PLEASE NOTE!!!
    AI-generated images have no copyright protection whatsoever. Third parties can copy the design freely and you risk major legal headaches over ownership and rights.

      To be honest, logo design has become heavily AI-driven. It’s hard to even tell what’s human-made anymore. You can spend hours thinking through concepts and crafting a design, only for the client to choose an AI-generated version or assume your work was AI-made too. At this point, getting your logo selected feels more like luck than talent or hard work.

    You are investing a decent amount and can get real entries from professional Brand Designers instead of AI CRAP that I believe 98% of the entries you've got are.

    I can assure you of good strategic branding, and for that, I need more information about the business to explore and come up with a suitable output. That we call a 'project brief' that includes a basic description of the business/brand, top 3 competitors, target audience, and other descriptions, such as design preferences in terms of what you admire and what you want to avoid.

    I would love to discuss over a Zoom call (or whatever you prefer) and help you out with this project. Or else, at least, provide more details in your project description or reply to my comment.
