Contest Brief

OK,

So I am about to launch a new OSX app.

A few details to take into account:

- The Application is a programmer Text Editor. (think of Textmate, Sublime, Notepad++, etc)
- The name of the app is "Peppermint"
- The logo should be original, fresh, vibrant and simple
- NO text should included whatsoever.
- The icon design should point to the name "Peppermint" (so, you get my point). If you could somehow incorporate the idea of "editor", that would be welcome. But it's not necessary.
- The deliverable icon should be vector-based, and I'll need you to send it to me in 1024x1024 PNG format as well.

I'm attaching a design of mine, although, I assure you that I don't like it. lol. (I'm not a designer anyway...) Just to get an idea of what I may have in mind.

Please, let me know if you need to know anything else.

I'll pick the best design - the one that'll stand out, the one you'd definitely notice if you started browsing an App Store section.

So, show me how creative you can be - and who knows, perhaps we could form some long-term partnership. (Got loads of apps coming!)

Other ideas I do like (for inspiration only - remember this is an OSX App Icon, not a logo or anything, so it has to deal well with transparencies on the Dock, etc) :

P.S. (a) None of the above is to be "copied". I'm posting them as an inspiration close to what I need.

(b) As per the initial project description, I need a custom design, created from scratch (please, stop copy-pasting existing images into your design - I can do that myself!), in vectors. (Although I'll still need you to export for me a 1024x1024 png copy)

  Colors, rather obvious I think, should be around green, peppermint green, mint green, etc. (If it's a more complex design - other than just a (WOW) leaf section, white or something rather neutral could be included as well.
