Contest Brief

UPDATE: I have attached examples of logos I like. Please read the full brief.

We are interested in travel, culture, people, education and ecological and environmental awareness. Think 'National Geographic'... that is similar to our interests. We specialise in selling maps. I want our logo 're-designed'. I would prefer you maintain the style of current logo but feel free to suggest similar alternatives. You can suggest new Fonts and colours. The yellow semi-circle in our logo represents the 'curvature of the earth'. The yellow is the same colour as National Geographic colour. Can you represent the curve of earth better? I really want a very 'minimalist' design similar to National Geographic logo ( http://www.nationalgeographic.com ) and Lonely Planet logo ( www.lonelyplanet.com ). If you think you can design a typographic logo only then please submit.
