CIETRADE TRADE SHOW EXHIBITION DISPLAY PROJECT
cieTrade provides business management software for companies that trade commodities like scrap paper or plastic or that operating recycling plants or processing facilities. We are looking for a designer to help us create a concept and graphics for two trade shows displays that will both be similar in style. The most urgent requirement is for a display specifically for "Plastics Recycling" software solutions. We also need a separate display for "general" recycling. We have some ideas about what we are looking to do but definitely want creative input. -- We would like the display to have a minimum of text (no feature lists) with a simple headline like "Software for Plastics Recycling & Trading" and 4 or 5 images that represent the different market segments we serve, plus our logo.
We have custom illustrations, created by another designer, that represent these markets and we would like to use them if possible (although they made require some modifications). The market labels are: "Broker",”Recycling”,”Export”,”Processing”,”Inventory” There is an example image showing how we have tried to use them.
We would also like to use photo images of scrap plastic either as a blurred background image (if it can work) or incorporated in some other way. The blurred image can be challenging because plastic regrind looks like confetti when its blurred.
The style we want is overall clean and professional. I have included one sample image from "Oakleaf" that has a nice clean look but note that this is just provided as a guide.
Please look carefully at the images and our corporate styles. The our Red Logo can also be in other colors and on a field of color – does not have to be in a box – Font is Franklin Gothic Condensed.
The files that are attached include our corporate logo, some of the “market” illustrations (I can provide more), some of the graphics we have and some examples of our attempts to design this ourselves and with others.
The size of this display is very important. It has to work for 120” x 93” L x H specs are available from this link:

I got somewhat confused by the brief.. could you please clarify?
You want 2 designs to be presented:
1. Specific design for plastic recycling - has to use this scrap plastic photo.
2. General recycling design - has to encorporate 4-5 images (or icons you provided).
Should the colors follow red-white-grey scheme?

I just uploaded additional images that show the icons and labels we want t use and the missing scanner and material processing icons. Everyone is welcome to create their own better version of these illustrations or try to work these. Having the images work on a red background would good. -- VERY IMPORTANT -- design concepts must look clean and uncluttered. -- Busy loud designs are not acceptable. -- I hope that helps.

Would you say more specifically (1) How companies use your software; (2) Are there other similar products available and will they be at the show competing for attention; (3) Will the persons that see your exhibit be the actual user and/or the actual purchaser of your product? Being able to see through your targets' eyes will help clarify how to make your display more persuasive. Thanks!

  In response: 1) They use our software to manage orders, shipments, produce specialized documentation, manage material processing/production calc profitabiloity. I included a sell sheet with the files that explains what our software does. 2) Generally no. We attend trade shows for recycling or the plastics industry trade shows and typically we are one of the few software companies there. - Most attendees do not know who we are so its more important to promote our solutions vs our name 3) No. Person we visit with tend to be decision makers not actual end users. -- The most important thing to communicate is that we have a solution specifically designed to help their business operate more effectively. -- I hope that helps.
