Contest Brief
Hello
I am looking for design of graphs , tables and calendars for weather averages 727 by 500 pixels , attached are some sample figures that can be used . for daily averages in a month and monthly averages . can be found at http://www.holiday-weather.com/tenerife_south_/averages/
Graphs
For the graphs you can use fusion and the ones that we like at the moment are
3D Bar Chart
Line Chart with Trend Lines
There is another option here which is probaly more suited to the Monthly Averages using this css

Whats important here is :
The Axis is really clear , too often people look at graphs and then the the two axis are not clear so they are not clear what they are looking at :
temperature should be the vertical line on the left and then on the horizontal lower line , the days of the month or the months for the other graph
Icons like a thermometer on the right would be useful as its instant recognition .
The temperature numbers should also be clear on the graph as well .
On a line graph the right hand side vertical lends itself to describing the temperature , very hot , hot , fairly hot , warm , mild etc
Colour on the graph lines or/and the background is really important here and can help differentiate easily for the user.
For the daily averages graph then then the days of the month need to be clear at the bottom
Remember the graph needs to show the data differences parameters on the vertical (tempertaure ) to show this
Calendar ,
this will only apply to the daily averages and needs to fit into the same space 727 by 500 so here we are populating the days in the calendar with average temperatures .
tables >: this applies to monthly averages and daily .Again 727 by 500
Remember this is a holiday website so design needs to be cheerful and clear to the user.
So to recap 727 by 500 pixels
Daily Averages for a month
1. Graph
2. Table
3. Calendar
Monthly Averages
1. Graph
2. table
Good luck and I look forward to seeing your entries
