Hi there!

BACKGROUND: We are a productivity software start up based in Vienna, Austria (https://allactivity.com/). We are in the process of setting up our blog, and require assistance in content creation efforts.

GENERAL TASK DESCRIPTION:
You will be working on an article called "Executive Time: Why Timetracking Should Start with CEOs".

AUDIENCE FOR ARTICLE:
Managers, CEOs, coaches for CEOs, consultants to senior management

FEELING/ANGLE OF ARTICLE:
The article is to the point and factual. It recognizes that our readers value productivity and efficiency. That they are interested in self-optimization and self-quantification.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
Please write an article of 1,500-2,500 word-length, which EXPANDS ON ALL IDEAS below. We want the details below to be reflected, but your article should GO BEYOND IT.

DETAILS OF ARTICLE:
- The time a CEO or senior manager has available for a company is one of the most valuable resources for a company. While they (or their assistants) of plan (EX ANTE!) their days in 5 minute-intervals, they are NOT in the habit of tracking how they actually spent their time and how they completed their tasks (EX POST). It is a great misconception that timetracking is for employees only.
- Even if a senior manager thinks that they are best in their "free" time, where they can develop that grand vision for the company (on the golf course or looking out the window of their corner office), then there is a strong argument the CEO should MAXIMIZE such time slots.
- A CEO must know exactly what (s)he did to complete a task, in order to be more productive the next time a similar task arises.
- (S)he must keep track of how much time he uses for what: scheduled calls and meetings; unannounced calls and meetings; emails; strategizing; reviewing others' work; human resources; financials; relationships; travel.
- If a senior manager does not do that, (s)he risks wasting the most precious resource of the company: her/his time.

CRITERIA FOR CONTEST:
- Perfect grammar and spelling
- Short sentences, clear & concise writing
- Matching our expectations for "FEELING/ANGLE OF ARTICLE" and "DETAILS OF ARTICLE"
- Understanding what it takes to keep a casual blog reader interested.

SENTENCE TYPES:
We have collected a list of sentence types that you might find useful in creating the article:
1st person-example / Quote / Claim / Joke / List / Question / Rhetorical question / Reason / Detail / Explanation / Request / Call to Action / Invite / 2nd person example / Argumentum ad absurdum (Exaggeration) / Exception / 3rd person claim / Theory / Hypothesis / Do’s / Don’t’s / Contrast(ing) / Denial / Ranking & Sorting / Judging / Promise / Threat / Consequence / Bolstering a claim / Hedging or Qualifying a Claim / If ... then ..-statement / Emphasis / Recommendation / Identifying a Problem or Challenge / Self-Mockery
