Currently I am employed full time as an Industrial Designer with a product development company located on the Gold Coast. I'm very experienced with turning people’s ideas into real products that are currently manufactured in China and sold worldwide. 3D CAD skillset: Over the course of my career, I have used a variety of CAD programs, which include: Alibre Design, Solid Works, Solid Edge, and Autodesk Fusion 360. I offer the following types of 3D design: - Single Part - full Assembly designs And I do this using: - Parametric Modelling (this is modeling with known dimension in mind), and - Surface modeling (this style of modeling creates free-flowing organic shapes) Why do I offer my services on Freelancer if I am so experienced? I absolutely love this job and honestly cannot get enough of it! I work full time during the day and during the night I work on personal projects, some of which are manufactured in China and sold through various e-commerce stores. It’s also exciting to earn a small amount of coin on the side when the opportunity arises. Why should you choose me over all of the other experienced designers on Freelancer? The Design Process Overview: 1. Protect your idea / intellectual property (IP): 2. Client Brief: Before starting a design it's important for the designer to gain a clear understanding of what the client’s goal/s might be. For example, it’s important to know the manufacturing process before the design starts to ensure the design is created in a way that is optimized for that process. 3. Concept Development: Ideation is often the most exciting stage in the project! The aim is to generate a large quantity of ideas that can then filter and cut down into the best, most practical or most innovative ones in order to better the product. 4. 3D CAD Design / Modelling: Once the design has been clearly nutted out in the previous stages the 3D stage should be quick to complete. 5. 3D Design Review: Once the design is complete you'll have the chance to review the design and make changes if needed. 6. Sign off: Once your all happy with the design you will be provided with a file that can be used to manufacturer your design.
