The relationships are captured in an Excel spreadsheet which lists the name of the element, type of element, the type of relationship, stereotype and the element it has relationship with. The spreadsheet may also include GUIDs which are generated by Sparx when exporting elements. If these exists, these must be maintained as they specify the element to be updated as well as the preservation of hierarchy. An Excel VBA is required to create and update relationships.
