Hi there I haver trouble installing my WRT54G v8.2 as a Client Bridge using DDWRT . It just wont give me internet access. It broadcast the SSID an will connect to it but just to the WEB GUI. I have tried many times installing the firmware and rebooting the router with no success.

I have a 2Wire 2700HGC-2 Router (Modem) which I am wanting to link up with my Linksys WRT54G because the 2wire modem has really poor wireless signal. I am tried to set them up but I am doing something wrong in the WRT54G config setup pages. Recently had my internet upgraded and my old firewall (Netgear FR314) can't handle the incoming speed. The FR314 used a rebranded Sonicwall firmware and had a couple of features that I can't seem to replicate on the WRT54G. 1) Content filtering. Had the ability to limit ActiveX, cookies, Java etc. Based on ip, mac, or pc name. You could block access to these features but then have a list of trusted sites (eg windows update, bank sites) to bypass the block. There was also a list of totally forbidden domains.
