Qualitative research is research that focuses on thoughts, feelings and non-measurable data. This is in contrast to quantitative research which handles measurable variables, often of a numerical or finite number of answers. Quantitative research may be organized into a chart or table, and analyzed through a correlation or average, however qualitative research does not have this opportunity, and so tend to use a much smaller number of participants or studies.
Qualitative research is used to build a hypothesis while quantitative research can be used to confirm or dispute the theory. Qualitative research uses the researcher themselves as the main tool for information gathering. Qualitative research makes use of interviews, surveys, observations, focus groups and documents to explore and understand a phenomenon, process or interaction. Qualitative research must always consider factors such as credibility, trustworthiness, confirmability and ethics.Contratar Qualitative Researchers
