Im currently polishing a runner game to launch myself using Unity, and you can find an earlier version of it in my profile. Based on your description, you'll need a game with basically 2 types of levels in which one teaches numbers, and the other alphabets. Personally it feels like a 3D level using Unity would've been slightly better and more engaging for the children, but since its 2D, we'll need to discuss what the art style should look like in-order to confirm if it'll look Top-Down or Side-Scroll
