I’m taking an automotive concept from idea to proof-of-performance and need an engineer who is completely at home under the virtual hood. The work is design-and-analysis focused rather than hands-on repair: I already have rough sketches and key performance targets, but I need them turned into fully detailed 3D geometry, validated through simulation, and documented for the next build phase. Here’s what the assignment looks like from my side: • Create accurate 3D models of the assemblies and critical sub-components in a mainstream CAD platform (SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor or similar). • Run Finite Element Analysis on high-load areas so we can spot stress concentrations, optimise wall thicknesses, and hit weight targets without compromising safety. • Perform overall performance simulations—thermal, dynamic, or aero as appropriate—to verify the package meets my target figures before any metal is cut. Deliverables I want to see: 1. Native CAD files plus neutral formats (STEP/IGES) ready for hand-off to manufacturing partners. 2. FEA reports with clear visuals, boundary conditions, and conclusions. 3. A concise performance-simulation summary highlighting whether targets are met and where further tweaks are recommended. I’ll supply all sketches, constraints, and target specs on award.
