I need an experienced industrial designer / mechanical engineer to take my concept for a stainless-steel water manifold and turn it into a build-ready prototype. The unit has to handle both flow control and pressure management while remaining fully compatible with our existing piping, sensors and fittings already in the field here in Australia. Scope You will refine the overall geometry, size each port for standard BSP threads, incorporate seats for our preferred pressure-relief components and specify the internal channel layout so flow is balanced across all outlets. Strength, corrosion resistance and production feasibility in 316 SS are key; I plan to move straight from prototype to low-volume CNC or investment-cast manufacture, so wall thicknesses and finishing details must reflect that pathway. Deliverables • 3D CAD model (SolidWorks or STEP) • Detailed engineering drawings with tolerances, surface finish notes and welding/casting call-outs • Bill of materials listing seals, valves and fasteners needed for flow/pressure assemblies • Brief validation sheet showing pressure drop calculations and maximum operating pressure • Assembly instructions that highlight how the manifold mates to the existing system connections Acceptance criteria The design must maintain leak-free operation at 1.5× our working pressure (test data provided once NDA is signed) and keep flow variance between outlets below 5 %. Threaded interfaces must follow AS 1722. I’m available for quick clarifications and can supply photos, sketches and sample hardware on request.
