The objective of this project is to design a durable, ergonomic, and lightweight enclosure case for the Motion Control System, ensuring safe housing of all electronic components while maintaining user comfort, motion accuracy, and ease of use during gameplay and physical movement. It is a wearable VR-style motion control system consisting of two handheld controllers and one chest-mounted central hub. The system uses ESP-NOW communication between the handheld controllers and the chest hub, while the hub acts as a Bluetooth gamepad interface for the connected device. Since the system is designed for active body movement including punching, dodging, squatting, and jumping, the enclosure must provide strong protection, secure mounting, and user-friendly ergonomics. The enclosure design will focus on three major components: 1. Chest Hub Enclosure The chest-mounted hub contains: ESP32 WROOM development board 30 pin ICM-20948 IMU Battery Pack Charging Circuit Voltage Regulation Circuit Power Switch Status LEDs This enclosure must: Support chest harness mounting Maintain IMU orientation stability Provide proper ventilation if required Allow charging access without disassembly Ensure balanced weight distribution Withstand body movement and vibrations 2. Handheld Controller Enclosures (Left & Right) Each handheld controller contains: ESP32-C3 Super Mini ICM-20948 IMU Joystick 4 Push Buttons 1 hall effect trigger LiPo Battery TP4056 Charging Module 3.3V Voltage Regulator These enclosures must: Provide comfortable handheld grip Ensure proper button and joystick placement Maintain punch detection orientation accuracy Protect internal components from impact Allow easy charging access Be lightweight for prolonged usage USB charging port access Switch accessibility The final outcome will be a prototype-ready enclosure system that improves the reliability, comfort, appearance, and usability of the Motion Control System while supporting long-duration use and accurate motion tracking. This enclosure design project will transform it from a functional prototype into a wearable product by improving protection, ergonomics, and practical usability while preparing it for real-world deployment, demonstrations, and future product scaling.
