I have gathered a full set of reference photos and now need a medium-detail hard-surface model of a historical lighthouse, destined for further 3D modeling work and ultimately a plaster cast. The entire build must happen in Maya, sticking to pure polygonal techniques—quads only, no triangles, n-gons, booleans, or sculpt-to-retopo shortcuts. Key requirements • Every individual stone that makes up the tower must be modeled; the placement can feel organic rather than mechanically precise, as long as the overall silhouette matches the real structure. • Clean UVs are essential: one logical unwrap, well-organized shells, and consistent texel density across the surface so the piece is production-ready for texture baking or direct 3D print finishing. • I will supply multi-angle reference images once we begin, and I’m happy to clarify proportions along the way. Rapid screen-caps or playblasts at agreed milestones will keep us in sync. Deliverables 1. Final FBX file with frozen transforms, logical naming, and the UV layout embedded. 2. Native Maya scene (optional but preferred) in case small tweaks are needed before the casting stage. 3. A 2048×2048 UV snapshot (PNG) so I can quickly check packing and density. Acceptance criteria – Quad-only topology, no visible shading artifacts in viewport subdivision. – UV checker shows uniform squares across all stones. – Overall height, taper, and key architectural details match the reference within reasonable tolerances for plaster casting.
