Two questions: 1) Detent: do you prefer a 301 SS spring finger in the housing riding a POM ratchet on each disc, or an all-plastic ABS cantilever? What detent torque window (pick/drop) are you targeting for points and games discs? 2) Assembly/sealing: should the housing be snap-fit serviceable or ultrasonically welded for sweat resistance; any IP target? Suggestions: • Materials: ABS housing with VDI 21–27 texture for durable, even matte; move to PC-ABS only if a higher drop spec is required (it’s more flow‑sensitive cosmetically). Discs in POM‑C (optional PTFE‑filled) for low friction/wear; pad print needs flame/corona + adhesion promoter. • DFM: gate at disc hubs; 1.5–2° draft on textured faces; 0.05–0.08 mm running clearance; molded pocket to locate the spring; family tool for the four discs to level unit cost. Action Plan: 1) DFM review of your STEP; confirm torque/indexing; tolerance stack. 2) Bench rigs; CNC POM discs + laser‑cut 301 spring; torque and 10k‑cycle test. 3) Surface samples (VDI) + POM print adhesion trial. 4) Final, production‑ready CAD/STEP, 2D GD&T, BOM. 5) Tooling kick-off, T1/T2 support.
