Ongoing Engineering Design Support

I regularly have a stream of civil, structural, and mechanical jobs that move from concept sketches right through to fully coordinated drawing sets. Most of the work centres on design and drafting, so clean, build-ready plans and 3-D models are what I need the most. You’ll be working with my preferred toolchain—AutoCAD for the 2-D layouts, SolidWorks when we shift into detailed mechanical components, and Revit for multidisciplinary coordination and documentation. If you are equally comfortable switching between these platforms and keeping file naming and revision control tight, you’ll do well here. Typical deliverables: • Accurate drawings or models issued in the native format and PDF • Supporting calculations or BOMs where the discipline requires them • A short change log on every revision so I can track progress quickly I care about code compliance and clear annotation; if a drawing can be handed straight to a contractor without back-and-forth, we’re on the right track. Turnaround times vary, but good communication and predictable milestones are a must.
