I need a set of ute-mounted toolboxes modelled in SolidWorks so our robotic press-brake can run long, repeatable batches without manual tweaking. Every unit must share the same door layout and shelf positioning, and the shelves themselves need to be adjustable; that combination is critical because we swap inserts on the line only for tray depth. If you can also suggest how custom tray sizes might slot into the same parent model, even better. The job is entirely sheet-metal focused, so I expect proper use of the SolidWorks Sheet Metal tools, flat-pattern generation and bend tables that align with a 3 mm punch–press workflow. Tab and slot for self-jigging, consistent hinge placement and gasket clearances all have to be thought through so we can pull parts straight from the laser, fold them once and bolt-up. Deliverables • Parametric SolidWorks part and assembly files for each toolbox size • Flattened DXF/DWG files ready for the laser cutter • A concise drawing pack with bend lines, critical dimensions and BOM When you reply, show me your experience designing press-brake friendly sheet-metal products or anything comparable that demonstrates you understand tolerance stacks, K-factors and factory flow.

Hi, there This needs a production-ready sheet-metal model, not just a toolbox shape. I can build the SolidWorks parts as parametric sheet-metal models with controlled variations in tray depth. The door layout, shelf positions, hinge line, gasket clearance, and fixing logic can stay consistent across sizes. I have experience preparing CAD models, assemblies, flat patterns, DXF/DWG outputs, and fabrication drawings. For press-brake work, I pay attention to bend reliefs, K-factors, bend tables, tolerance stacks, and repeatable folding. Tab-and-slot self-jigging can be integrated so laser-cut parts locate cleanly before bending and bolt-up. I can also structure a parent model/configuration approach for custom tray sizes without rebuilding everything. Do you already have your preferred bend table, inside radius, and 3 mm material specification? Best regards, Valentin

Hi! I'm Abu, Top 30 SolidWorks freelancer with 12+ years in sheet metal design, including parametric SolidWorks Sheet Metal toolboxes, press-brake-friendly bend tables, tab-and-slot self-jigging geometry, flat-pattern DXF/DWG for laser cutting, and multi-variant families from a single parent model. Sheet metal design for robotic press-brake workflows is exactly my strength. I work with correct K-factors, bend allowances, and 3mm punch-press clearances daily, and I design tab-and-slot self-jigging geometry and consistent hinge placement so parts pull straight from the laser and fold once without tweaking. I understand what you need: every toolbox size sharing the same door layout and shelf positioning, adjustable-depth shelves (insert swap on the line for tray depth only), consistent gasket clearances, and a parametric parent model architecture so custom tray sizes slot in cleanly without rebuilding from scratch. Deliverables I will provide: parametric SolidWorks part and assembly files for each toolbox size, flattened DXF/DWG ready for your laser cutter, and a concise drawing pack with bend lines, critical dimensions, and BOM — all structured for long repeatable press-brake batches without manual tweaking. I can share press-brake-friendly sheet metal work samples immediately. Ready to start — please share your current toolbox reference or sketch so I can confirm the parent model architecture before building the variant family.
