Decorative Balcony Cladding Redesign

Project Title: Architectural Design for Decorative Balcony Cladding Using Sto-Velolit Elements Project Description I am looking for an architect or architectural designer to create two alternative design concepts for a decorative balcony cladding using Sto-Velolit elements. The balcony should be understood as a representative prototype (“pars pro toto”) for a broader architectural upgrade of the building façade. The design language developed here will later be applied to other façade elements such as window gables, decorative frames, and façade ornaments. Therefore, both the form language and the color concept must be transferable to other architectural elements of the house. Design Tasks Please develop two distinct design approaches: Design Option A – Proportionally Emphasized / Dominant This version should have a stronger architectural presence. The design may emphasize classical proportions, more pronounced moldings, and a visually dominant balcony cladding that creates a strong façade statement. Design Option B – Minimalist / Filigree This version should be lighter and more refined, using slender proportions and a more minimalist interpretation of classical façade ornamentation. Both designs should be based on Sto-Velolit façade elements and should demonstrate how these elements can be assembled into a coherent architectural composition. Color Variations For each design concept, please produce photorealistic visualizations in three color variations: 1. Lime matte white (calcium-lime white) 2. Warm beige tone 3. Sand-colored tone These renderings should show the balcony façade and also include example decorative elements above nearby windows on the same façade side to demonstrate how the design language can extend to other parts of the building. Material and Construction Details An essential part of this project is a complete and realistic construction concept. Please provide a detailed shopping list / bill of materials including: Visible façade elements • Sto-Velolit architectural elements used for the balcony cladding • Moldings, frames, decorative profiles, and façade ornaments Structural and internal components • Internal support elements for columns and façade structures • Metal brackets, angles, or structural strips used to connect exterior elements • Stabilization components needed for load transfer • Materials required to fill cavities or hollow areas Installation and finishing materials • Sto reinforcement mortar (Sto Armierungsmörtel) • Reinforcement mesh • Adhesives or mounting systems • Base layers and preparation materials • Sto Silicate façade paint for the final weather-resistant and impact-resistant finish The goal is that the shopping list includes all required components, not only the visible decorative parts but also every structural or installation component necessary to realistically construct the design. Deliverables 1. Two design concepts (dominant and filigree) 2. Photorealistic renderings of both concepts 3. Three color variants per design 4. Example façade extensions (e.g., decorative window gables) 5. A complete bill of materials including structural and finishing materials 6. Basic construction explanation showing how the elements are assembled General Objective The balcony design will serve as the starting point for a coherent façade upgrade of the entire house. Therefore, the concepts should demonstrate how the balcony design language could later be extended to additional façade elements such as window frames, gables, cornices, and other architectural features. The final result should combine classical elegance with a practical and buildable Sto façade system.
