The goal is to develop a home automation hub based on a ESP32 microcontroller. It will use a few simple sensors to gather data and an IR LED to operate the Air Conditioning. The device will communicate with a home automation main hub through a web interface or something like this. The device should be robust because it will be working 24/7. When the device is plugged it checks for Wi fi connection and if its not connected it activates itself as an access point. You can now connect to the access point with your smartphone/There are some libraries for that/. As soon as you do that a web page pops up and asks you for your home Wi fi network name and password. After you enter them and disconnect your smartphone from the AP the device will connect to the home Wi fi. At this point you can interact with the device through a web interface that displays all the sensor data. Somewhere here should be menu that you can choose your AC brand. I am not sure how the IR codes library works so I am opened to suggestions. The goal is to be able to control your AC through the web interface. Ultimately the home automation main hub will control the AC though the web interface and read the sensor data.
Please provide information about relevant experience. I am looking for someone with experience and interest in home automation. I will have a few similar projects for the right person.
