Hi!
I have fairly good experience with digital electronics and communication systems. At present one of our projects involve wireless data transmission from an overhead water tank to a power electronic converter. Similar to yours, the desired battery life is > 12 months in this case as well. At the target battery life, average current consumption should be less than approx 40 micro Amperes. At once it may seem easily achievable, but with deeper analysis it becomes apparent that such low current targets are difficult to achieve. We have already put in a few months of time developing techniques that would meet these requirements. The challenge here is not wireless transmission, but to make the battery last over a year. Since your project is similar, it would fit seamlessly with the current work flow.
I shall be able to finish the work in four parts.
Part-1: Circuit design (schematic capturing)
Part-2: PCB design
Part-3: Manufacturing three (3x) samples of the circuit with all components and PCB
Part-4: Firmware design and testing
After each part I will provide a detailed documentation of the work so that the work may be easily picked up by any other designer in future.
I will be pleased to provide my best of assistance.
Regards
