Flash Dynamic Active Desktop Needed

We are thinking to have an active flash desktop created for one or more websites. Since we are not familiar with active desktop programming but do know a little flash we will list our requirements and ask if you have experience in this to send us a PM with more information on how it works. The active desktops we would like to be dynamic and pull information from either a mysql database or a specail URL. For one website the active desktop would gather news headlines and display a small thumbnail possibly and a short description of the article(s). For another website it would possibly pull a thumbnail again from either a database or a URL display the thumb nail on the desktop with breif information. We would prefer that information is gathered from a static html page that would be setup specifically for the active desktop to take from rather than using a database simply to save on db usage. The desktop area this would be shown in would be very small and resizeable by the user.
