Raspberry Pi Temp Monitoring

Raspberry Pi 2 & 3

(4) DS18B20 Digital temperature sensors ([url removed, login to view])

OS: Jessie

Storage: 32GB SD Card

Create a python script that will run unattended on the raspberry pi that will track temperature and alert via email if a temperature threshold is achieved.

The temperatures will be checked every 5 Mins

This script will be available on the users desktop that will set the parameters for the temperature monitoring

script.

Notification Emails need to include House name and the sensor name with the temperature.

Example:

Franks House

Heater Duct 1 Temperature: 99 Degrees

Trigger High: 98 Degrees

Please wait until all sensor temperatures are stable. (5 sec delay)

Please increase the temperature of sensor #1 (Program is reading all sensors and determining

which sensor temperature increases by at least 5 degrees)

"Temperature change detected..."

"Please name this sensor:" (Asks for name of sensor).

(If multiple sensors have a increase of temperature or a duplicate sensor is detected then a

"Multiple sensor temperature increase detected, please start again" or "Duplicate Sensor Detected"

will be displayed with a "Press any Key to Continue" for which it would go to

2) Setup Temperature Sensors / 1) Setup Temp Sensors page again).

This process will happen for each sensor selected. Once the sensor is setup then a

"DONE" will be shown after each sensor that is setup on the 2) Setup Temperature Sensors / 1) Setup Temp Sensors page
