Expand on previous Crossword project

With the attached html file, expand on the divs to input the crosswords to be a modal window so the user doesn't have to scroll up and down. I want their experience to have as little scrolling back and forth up and down as possible. Place instructions at the top. Make input of the crossword answers (the entire table with the hints and buttons) a modal window. Modal window will disappear when they enter the word and the crossword will be ready for them again after it disappears without much scrolling.
