I need a database to collect data from bank statements. The data will be used to code information for bookkeepers who will ultimatly enter the data into QuickBooks. I am building new sets of books for my businesses and personal accounts from the year 2000 forward. I have several companies some with several accounts and have used different banks over the years. I will also have personal bank accounts. The fields should include the business name, bank name, account number, transaction type, amount, date, category, payee or party, transaction id, and a comment field. I want a form for data entry. The form should "lookup" upon itself and or lists to minimize keystrokes. Many of the fields will have redundant information. The data should be able to be sorted by company, bank, date....and exported to QuickBooks or at least to Excel.
I have Access 2007 and Alpha 5 Version 9. It would be helpful for the database to be multiuser and accessible across my LAN and from remote users. A hosted site is a viable option. The database can be in some other format, SQL...with Access or Alpha 5 as a front end.
