We are Australia’s biggest comparison platform based in Sydney, Australia offering Virtual Accounts Receivable roles and bookkeeping services. We require a qualified accountant to assist with accounting and bookkeeping tasks. Tasks will be varied and will extend to full management of clients if the candidate can show that they are capable. Tasks include managing the Receivables function using Xero, receivables management, bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation. Some experience working on an Australian business using Xero is desirable but not essential. Regardless you will be well trained in our process. Please only apply if you are fluent in English. You will need a stable internet connection. If you’re living in an area with frequent power or internet outages, please don’t apply. Working hours will depend on the country team you will work with: - Australian Team: from 8:30am to 5:30pm in the AU timezone (AEST). The successful candidate will have experience in: - Accounts Receivable - Financial accounting experience or studied / studying accounting - A customer centric mindset - Attention to detail/strong excel skills - Exposure working with remote stakeholders successfully In the first 6-12 months, this person will need to: - Successfully integrate into the accounting month end process, functioning as the assistant Accounts Receivable officer. Contribute to reducing EOM processing days - Automate reporting - Contribute to process improvement, workflow, documentation and compliance --Key pillars of success-- To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualities: -High perseverance and grit. The ability to overcome difficult challenges. -A natural curiosity to learn and improve yourself every day. -Strong time management abilities. -Working cohesively with team members.
