Engraving is where small vector mistakes become expensive, so the key here is not just tracing the badge but cleaning it for production: closed paths, consistent line weight, and enough negative space to stay readable at the final plate size. I’d rebuild the wordmark/icon/texture from your mock-up, keep the proportions true, and prep the final files so your engraver does not need to fix anything. I do a lot of print/vector cleanup work where artwork has to move cleanly into fabrication, cutting, or engraving, so I’m careful about path structure and output format rather than only making the preview look good. The date update, color-direction correction from merlot to black/light blue, and final-size export are all straightforward. A PNG preview is included before final delivery. - What are the exact finished badge dimensions? - Does your engraver prefer SVG or DXF as the primary production file? - Should the background texture stay subtle enough for engraving, or do you want it simplified for maximum legibility?
